Abbeydale Brewery have become a firm favourite in the local area. Founded over 20 years ago, you’ll not have to go far to pick up a pint of their signature ale – Moonshine.

A few years back we teamed up with them on a Bullion Mocha Stout. It was a limited run, but a real treat while it lasted. Since then, they’ve made a whole host of different beers.

One of which is this incredibly decadent Plum Porter. At 5.2%, it’s steady drinking. Packed with bright fruit tones and finishes with notes of chocolate.

To pair, we have just the chocolate for the job! Forming part of our current Explorer Series is this surprisingly sweet 70% dark. Made with beans from Vietnam, Tien Gang region – this bar has that plum-like brightness that goes hand in hand with the porter.

Tien Gang as a cocoa growing region became on our radar from the guys at @marouchocolate. After tasting their 80% bar that picked up a gold at The Academy of Chocolate Awards – we’ve wanted to work with beans ever since!
